Job Description

Are you a socially conscious, dedicated individual who is committed to building a better future for children, families, and their communities? If so, join us as we support early childhood education programs across the country to create positive outcomes for the children and families served.

Are you passionate about building strong partnerships with families and empowering them to support their children's success? Acelero Learning is seeking a dedicated Family Engagement Advocate to strengthen family engagement, promote school readiness, and help families achieve their goals through meaningful relationships, coaching, and community connections.

Why Acelero?

Our mission is bold: To design and deliver research and evidence-based approaches to eliminate the gaps between young children's inherent potential and their achievement in school and life. With our partners, we accelerate child and family outcomes that honor all of the aspirations and cultures of the communities we serve.

The Role:

As a Family Engagement Advocate, you will play a key role in engaging families as active partners in their children's healthy development and school readiness. You will build trusting relationships with families, provide individualized coaching and support, connect families to community resources, and create opportunities that strengthen parent leadership, family self-sufficiency, and community engagement.

Working collaboratively with education, health, disabilities, and family services teams, you will help create a welcoming environment where every family feels valued, supported, and empowered. This position may support multiple center locations based on program needs.

  • Promote School Readiness: Coach families on positive parent-child interactions, home learning activities, literacy, and family routines that support children's social, emotional, and academic success.
  • Support Family Goals: Partner with families to complete Family Self-Assessments and Family Partnership Agreements while helping them achieve individualized goals related to education, employment, housing, and overall self-sufficiency.
  • Connect Families to Resources: Identify and coordinate community resources, referrals, and support services that address each family's unique needs.
  • Lead Family Engagement Activities: Plan and facilitate family workshops, parent groups, leadership opportunities, and engagement events that foster connection, advocacy, and community involvement.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with teachers, health staff, disabilities specialists, and center leadership to provide coordinated support for children and families.
  • Maintain Documentation: Ensure timely and accurate case notes, family records, referrals, electronic documentation, and required program reports.
What You Bring:
  • Passion for Family Engagement: A commitment to strengthening families and creating positive outcomes for children through meaningful partnerships and culturally responsive practices.
  • Communication Excellence: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with families, community partners, and colleagues.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Additional Requirements:
